Training videos for a multi-site car wash business

We produced 30 training videos for a multi-site car wash business located in Las Vegas, Nevada. These videos will help the business grow sustainably with consistent training across dozens, or even hundreds, of locations.

Communicate Vision while teaching both technical and soft skills

One of the best parts about using video to train employees is the ability to express your company vision while teaching the tactile parts of the job. For this particular project, we decided to use two hosts to introduce each training section. This created a conversational and friendly vibe which mirrors the people-centric vision of WOW Car Wash and expresses the importance of keeping a friendly attitude at work.

How we filmed 37 training videos in 9 days

  • Open Dialogue

We started by having a conversation with the WOW Car Wash leadership team, asking plenty of questions in order to establish expectations. What do you want to achieve with these training videos? What is your current method of training? Can we look over the current materials? Is there anything you’d like to change in terms of content?

  • Planning

WOW Car Wash was in a fantastic position to produce training videos because they already had a system for training. They had detailed procedure manuals and a process for onboarding new talent. During a pre-production day, we took this content and converted it into a list of videos that reflected the important pieces of the training. We used this list to stay organized during production.

  • Team Work and Hard Work

We worked closely with the WOW Car Wash Operations Manager to get the content we needed. The team at WOW Car Wash are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and we used a variety of team members to help us capture the steps for all 37 videos. Our producer, Lydia, directed talent and camera from a wireless monitor, scratching things off the list as we filmed.
