Video Editor Role:


Our video editor will be skilled in video post-production workflows, proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, and show a demonstrated track record of communicating effectively through video. They will be comfortable and capable of handling client conversations and feedback on the phone and through email, in order to help deliver on and above our client’s expectations.

Video Editor Responsibilities:


A commitment to the craft of video and audio post-production

Developing efficient workflows and systems

Media management

Setting up projects in Premiere (I.e transcoding footage, culling interview content, sourcing soundtracks, etc.)

Delivering edits to our producer for review

Making producer and/or client revisions


Additional responsibilities may include:


Assisting our producer in pre-production and production responsibilities (I.e Proposal writing, scheduling, planning of production, booking locations, etc.)

Scriptwriting and editing

Note-taking and creative collaboration during meetings

Collaborating with our team to develop our products, services, and systems to better serve our clients

Researching equipment, software, and other solutions to more effectively reach our goals

Assisting with production days and camera operating when required

Helping tell the Portage Creative story on our social media channels and website



Details of the offer:


Begins October 2021

$21-25/hour

40 hours/week

Most work will take place at Canopy Coworking in Springwater, Ontario

Potential to work a hybrid of remote and in-person following initial training period
